Refrigerated Wine Cellars with Reliable Wine Cooling Systems

Building refrigerated wine cellars have technical requirements for them to function correctly. Therefore, they must be constructed by a knowledgeable builder. Installing a climate-control unit requires the help of a professional builder and HVAC technician. At Wine Cellar Cooling Services Miami, we collaborate with premier wine room designers and installers in building safe and functional wine storage facilities. We have been providing high-quality wine cellar cooling systems to master builders for years. Check out some of their awe-inspiring projects.

Refrigerated Wine Cellars with Reliable Wine Cooling Systems

The wine quickly deteriorates when stored in a place where the temperatures and humidity levels are outside the ideal wine storage conditions. For the wine to age gracefully, it must be kept in a place where the temperature is between 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity level that ranges from 60 to 70 percent.

Coastal Custom Wine Cellars and Blue Grouse Wine Cellars have proven their knowledge and expertise in building refrigerated wine cellars equipped with efficient wine cooling systems. They always see to it that their client’s collection is aged in a wine room constructed to provide the perfect wine storage environment. Learn more about their wine cellar refrigeration projects.

Affordable Wine Cellar Refrigeration Using One of CellarPro’s Wine Cellar Cooling Systems

One of the Refrigerated Wine Cellars Equipped with a Reliable Wine Cooling System

In one of their wine cellar cooling system installation projects, Coastal Custom Wine Cellars had to utilize a room that is 7 feet tall on all sides. Before installing the climate control system, they had to prepare the wine room for construction. They framed it, installed the necessary electrical wiring, and insulated the walls and ceiling.

They performed a heat load calculation to help them determine the ideal size of the cooling unit for the project. They had to consider the following factors:

  • Size and location of the room
  • Insulation value installed
  • Amount of glass to be used
  • Availability of an exhaust room
  • Financial requirements

After making a thorough assessment of the client’s needs, the Coastal team decided to use a wine cooling unit from CellarPro. CellarPro is known for its commercial-grade refrigeration products. They have been providing refrigeration solutions to wine room builders, contractors, homeowners, and store owners.

The best option for this project was a self-contained ducted air handler. However, Coastal Custom Wine Cellars decided to use the 4200 VSi self-contained wine cooling systemconsidering the client’s budget. The condenser and evaporator are housed in one unit. This CellarPro wine refrigeration unit is ideal for small spaces and tight budgets.

It can perform well in spaces where the temperatures range between 40 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Then equipment can be installed up to 1500 cubic feet. Since the CellarPro 4200 VSi model requires no refrigerant lines, you do not have to hire an HVAC technician to install the unit. A dedicated 20-amp circuit at 115V/60Hz is necessary.

The client did not want the equipment to be visible inside the wine cellar, so the Coastal team installed it above the ceiling. The placement of the unit eliminated the need for an exhaust room for the proper dissipation of heat.

The front ducting kit supplies the cold air to the wine room while the rear ducting kit directs the warm air outside. The remote temperature display control unit was placed just outside the home wine cellar.

Another impressive project completed by Coastal Custom Wine Cellars was this custom home wine cellar built in a basement. After insulating the wine room and adding a vapor barrier, we installed one of the most efficient wine cellar cooling systems by WhisperKOOL, the Slimline 2500 model. This unit is widely used in building refrigerated wine cellars up to 500 cubic feet in size. The equipment was installed just above the door inside the wine room.

The WhisperKOOL Slimline wine cellar cooling systems are ductless units designed to direct the air directly into the wine storage room without the need for ductwork

Under the Stairs Home Wine Cellar Refrigeration Project

In this home wine cellar refrigeration project, they had to install a wine room under the staircase. They utilized one of KoolR’s popular wine cellar cooling systems.

This wine refrigeration unit is ideal for small wine cellars because of its compact size. The Blue Grouse team mounted it above the door. When condensation happens, there will be water that will be coming from the system. To prevent the water from dripping on the floor, a clear plastic tube, which leads to an empty bottle, was placed at the bottom of the unit.

A Refrigerated Custom Home Wine Cellar Built in a Condominium

In this residential wine cellar cooling projectBlue Grouse Wine Cellars was contacted by a client who lives in a condominium. The owners needed help in renovating their small wine storage room. They wanted to increase the capacity of their wine cellar.

The Blue Grouse team created a new design layout and decided to use the ONAM CW30-W water-cooled cooling system. It was engineered using water-cooled technology to give the refrigeration unit ability to expel the heat through the water rather than air. This feature eliminates the need for an exhaust room or ventilation.

In addition to its superior performance and high-grade components, this unit is suitable for wine cellars with a full glass front. The equipment was concealed within the racking to create a seamless look.
